Munniksma to Present “Image is Everything” at Morton Community Center
Small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies have a new educational program designed for them in West Lafayette. From 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, September 18, 20, 25, and 27, freelance writer and marketing consultant Lisa Munniksma will present an image-building workshop, Image is Everything, at the Morton Community Center.
A positive image for a business or organization means more customers or members, more income or sponsorship dollars, and more respect from your community and your industry as a whole. Developed to assist small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies, the Image is Everything series will cover how to improve and spread the word about your image, including techniques for marketing, using the media, basic communication skills, and generating a buzz that will make a big impact. Participants are encouraged to interact and learn from each others' experiences as well as the scenarios and ideas that are presented during the program.
Class registration is $140. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Contact the Morton Community Center at 765-775-5120 for general and registration information. The Morton Community Center, a branch of the West Lafayette Parks and Recreation, is located at 222 North Chauncey Avenue in West Lafayette.
The presenter, Lisa Munniksma, has been involved in writing, editing, and marketing/public relations for 11 years. Her experience on both sides of the desk—as both a writer and a public relations professional—serves as a useful tool in reading the needs of the media and effectively working with them. Munniksma lives in Frankfort, Indiana, and makes her home online at www.lisa-writes.com.
